Flavia de Oliveira (born July 17, 1983) is a top Brazilian model.
Flavia is famous for having participated in the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows.
That is a boatload of shows and more than the vast majority of Victoria's Secret models.
|For some reason, Flavia loves this arched-back pose. It works for her, so maybe that's why she uses it so much.|
Flavia was born in Londrina, Brazil. Her mother wanted Flavia to be a model, but Flavia wasn't interested.
Then her mother passed away, and Flavia decided to give it a shot.
Flavia went to a casting session with a friend. Someone there came out and asked her to do some poses even though Flavia hadn't come to participate and wasn't prepared - she was just supporting her friend.
Flavia strutted her stuff and got a Yves Saint Laurent deal out of it. Now that's how it's done.
She made her debut in spring 2001 at the age of 18, bursting on the scene like a piñata in New York, Milan, and Paris. Her big break - as if she needed one, with her success - came in 2006 when she hooked on with the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Since she has been asked back four times, she must have done OK. She is on Facebook, though how she finds the time with all her success is a mystery.
Flavia's more recent covers include:
- 2014: woman Madame Figaro Spain
- 2013: woman Madame Figaro Spain, Elle (Spain)
- 2011: Elle (Spain), Elle (Italy)
- 2009: Elle (Argentina), Vogue (Brazil), Elle (Spain), Elle (Turkey), Elle (Spain)

Flavia has an Instagram account, but it is private. Still, despite it being private, she has about 20k followers, so she must have a lot of close personal friends.
Flavia has walked for the likes of Dior, Valentino, Missoni, Elie Saab, and Chanel.

In 2006, de Oliveira was chosen to feature as the face of Salvatore Ferragamo and Cesare Paciotti, something all models wish they could get. She starred in advertising campaigns for Victoria's Secret (2007), Gap (2007), Benetton (2007) and others.
Flavia does not have a particularly high profile in the general public - she doesn't take bit parts in 'Entourage' or 'Sex and the City' or whatever. If you haven't heard of Flavia, it's ok, it just shows you're not into the fashion scene. If you have a product and want to market it to the Latin America market and just about anywhere else, you pick up the phone and call one of her agents. Maybe she can spare the time. Flavia is the Real Deal.
Flavia was most active between 2002 and 2011. She appears to have cut back her modeling recently, and we're all the poorer for it.
