Luján Fernández (born 1985) is a former Argentine model. She is very well known for her appearances in 1999, 2000 and 2001 in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues.
Lujan followed an unusual path to modelling. She began her career in acting, performing on local television programs as a child. At the age of 14, while on a Uruguayan beach (isn't that how it always happens?), a talent scout spotted her. Before long, she had moved to New York
Lujan's covers include:
- France: 'Vogue'
- Germany: 'Vogue'
- Italy: 'Photo'
- UK: 'Arena' - April 2000
- US: 'Vogue'; 'Harper's Bazaar (en Español)'
Lujan appeared on the runway and in print ads for all the top brands:
- Ralph Lauren
- John Bartlett
- Perry Ellis
- Victoria's Secret Catalogs
Particularly active in the 1999-2001 period, Lujan was named to the Maxim 100 Sexiest Women list in 2001. She since appears to have retired from modelling, though apparently she still is listed with Ford Models.
