Nataliya Gotsiy (born July 10, 1985) is a Ukrainian fashion model.
Nataliya got her start by winning the Ford Supermodel of the World 2004 search.
Before long, Nataliya was on the covers of magazines such as the December 2005 Marie Claire, the Russian Appior in 2004, and the French Elle.
Nataliya Gotsiy has represented brands that include Guy Laroche, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Yves Saint Laurent, and Alberto Ferretti.
Nataliya was very hot in the fashion world around 2005-2006. Nataliya dropped out a few years later to have a baby.
There have been rumors that she might return, but so far any re-appearances have been brief. If she is indeed still working as a model, it is locally.
A controversy that erupted over models with eating disorders featured pictures of Nataliya. That may have contributed to her disappearance from the global fashion scene.
The pictures were from the Spring 2007 Guy Laroche runway show and showed Nataliya looking very thin.
Despite her denials that she had any issues, and that the photos had been photoshopped, Nataliya has not been able to get her career going again since then. There are rumors that she did finally accept that she had an eating disorder and was working to correct it.
Somewhat ironically, the effort to shed light on conditions for female models in an attempt (presumably) to help them effectively ruined Nataliya's career. Or, at least that is one theory for her disappearance.
Nataliya was in a Victoria's Secret casting video in 2009 but was not chosen for the show.
Nataliya's last major credit apparently is a September 2011 Harper's Bazaar Ukraine editorial.
Nataliya still has a lot of fans who admired her distinctive look.
